BIOGRAPHY
I’m Lindsay Edmondson — a peripatetic instrumental tutor, workshop creator, and ensemble director with over 20 years of experience working across primary and secondary education. I’m currently the Inclusion Development Manager for Kent Music, where I focus on ensuring that every young person has the opportunity to experience the joy of making music together.
As a professional woodwind player specialising in saxophone, I’ve spent my career working with students of all abilities and backgrounds. Through this work, I’ve noticed that the most common barriers to musical participation — such as score reading, playing together, and understanding pulse and rhythm — often prevent students from fully engaging in group music-making.
I’m passionate about creating musical experiences that are inclusive, creative, and joyful, where everyone can join in, contribute, and flourish regardless of their musical ability.
You can explore my resources, developed under the “Ensemble for All” method, on the following pages — designed to help teachers and students build confidence, connection, and creativity through ensemble music-making.
